Steve Mawhorter is the Director of Biblical Counseling (1998-present) and Director of Adult Ministries and Biblical Counseling at NorthCreek Church. We asked him a few questions, and below are his answers.

How long have you been on staff at NCC? I served on the staff part-time as Men's Ministries Director from 1995 to 2000. Then I became the Director of the Biblical Counseling Ministry in 1998. In February 2007, i joined the staff full time as Director of Adult Ministries and Biblical Counseling.

What is your Education? B.S. in Finance at LBSU, M.A. in Biblical Counseling from The Master's College (in process)

Tell us about your family. Wife – Sue, son, Mike (21) daughter, Chrissy (19)

Why are you on staff? I love to serve the Lord in whatever capacity He has for me.

What is your favorite song? "Amazing Love, How can it be?"

What do you do in your free time? Golf, workout, read

What is your favorite verse, book or passage? Micah 6:8

Favorite Bible author? MacArthur Study Bible - I love the notes. For commentaries, I love Kenneth Wuest – it's beyond the layman but not too technical. As for specific Bible authors, I don't have one.
