Our God of all hope wants us to be filled with all joy and peace and to abound in hope (Romans 15:13). He equips us to deal with the challenges of life from His perspective, in His way; and in turn, to be able to effectively encourage others in their spiritual walks with Him. (Colossians 1:28; 3:16; I Thessalonians 5:14; II Timothy 3:16,17).

There are Three Steps to Becoming a Biblical Counselor at NCC:

Step 1: Cornerstone
- Those interested in becoming counselors are required to take the Cornerstone Class and complete the highest level of homework which is well over 200 hours, including intense bible reading.  This class is offered Wednesday nights at NorthCreek Church, 7:00-8:30 pm, September-May.

Step 2: Fundamentals of Biblical Counseling - This is a 10 week course taken over the summer for graduates of Cornerstone who completed level 3 homework.

Step 3: Observation - Counselor-Trainees observe experienced counselors as they counsel.  For various reasons, this time-frame can last from a few months to a year.
