What Is The Flock?

We chose the name Flock for our High School youth group because of what it means to be a part of God’s flock and to have the Lord as our shepherd (Psalm 23 ). He leads and guides us by using His Spirit and His Word (the Bible).

 

  • As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe that we are to gather together regularly to worship our Lord (Hebrews 10:25 ).
  • We place a very high value on the Bible. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that God, through His love, has given it to us in order to show us the way to salvation and to reveal to us His awesome glory (Psalm 33:4 ).
  • We believe that, as Christians, we are called to live a life of full surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:21 ).
  • We believe that the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ (John 14:6 ).
  • We also gather together as believers to have fun! We love spending time together and enjoy serving and growing deeper in our faith as a result of that.

What is our purpose?

The purpose of Flock is to help students:

  • Understand what it means to glorify God with their lives
  • Grow in His Word and His love for others
  • Go to the lost with the message of hope, which is salvation found in Christ (Mark 16:15-16 )
