Master’s Institute (a.k.a. MI) is a ministry of The Master's College that seeks to provide people with biblical training that enables them to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). We believe that the passionate pursuit of an ever-increasing knowledge of, faith in, and love for God (Ephesians 3:14-19) will empower Christians to live a Spirit-filled, others-oriented life—based on God’s Word and aimed at God’s glory (Ephesians 3:21).
The Institute exists for:
1. Men and women of all ages who desire to serve in their local church with greater passion and effectiveness. Many people have taken Institute classes simply for their own spiritual growth. These studies offer them an opportunity to meet together regularly with other believers, dig into God’s Word, and grow.
2. Upper-classman high school students or recent high school graduates, 16 years of age or older, who desire a cost-effective alternative to Christian college education that is close to their home and/or employment. MI is affiliated with The Master’s College, which is a four-year, fully accredited, liberal arts Christian college. Thus, MI provides a unique opportunity for people to work toward a fully-accredited Christian college bachelor’s degree.
3. Men and women who have taken college classes in the past and desire now to finish their college degree. Institute classes are designed to give people an opportunity to work toward a college degree—at their pace, with work-friendly class times, and at a very affordable cost.
For those taking classes for college credit, two educational opportunities are available. First, a student may earn a Diploma in Biblical Studies (DBS), which is the equivalent of a college-level minor in Biblical Studies. Second, for those students who desire to continue their college education, an Associate Degree (AA) from an accredited junior college may be combined with the DBS and be transferred to The Master’s College, where a student can go on to complete a four-year bachelor’s degree in just one or two years at the college.
We hope that this catalog will give you a clear picture of what Master’s Institute is all about and how this training could strengthen you to become the person God wants you to be and to do the things God has for you to do. If you have questions along the way, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
May God bless you as you consider how to maximize your life for His glory.
