We're glad you found us! We are a group of over 150 high school students, from more than 14 different schools (including homeschools). Whether you are a student, friend, or a parent, we are excited to let you know all about Ignite here at NorthCreek. Our goal is to bring glory and honor to our Lord and King:
  • through solid teaching and instruction from the Bible

  • by providing opportunities that challenge students to grow in their faith, and to serve and love others

  • through fellowship, learning, and having fun together

We meet together for:
  • Ignite Sunday School - on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. in the Chapel

  • Ignite Discipleship Groups - on Wednesdays nights throughout the school year, from 7-8:30  p.m. in the Chapel

  • Ignite Events - we do many fun, relationship-building activities throughout the year, including a mission trip to Tijuana, Mexico

We want to partner with parents:

We believe that parents should be the primary teachers in a student's life; therefore, we want to be a resource, an ally for parents, and help in any way we can. Parents are ALWAYS welcome and invited to any student ministry event. We have resources, offer biblical counseling, and have volunteer opportunities to interact with our students.

"To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into Him who is the head, into Christ. (Ephesians 4:12-15)

Ignite Vocal/Band Team

Weekly Practice |Download Application

It is our desire to worship and glorify God in all areas of our lives. One way in which we worship is through music and song. Pride is a risk in every leadership role, but especially in the area of music. Any person that is involved in the Vocal/Band Team must take the time to consistently check their motivation. As the vocal/Band team, it is your purpose and responsibility to glorify God by focusing the attention of those you are leading solely on Him. You must resist the temptation to showcase yourself and your talents. It is important that your walk with God be solid and consistent. If you are not spending time in the Word, you have no place ministering in front of others. This can be a very powerful and God-honoring team if all of its members are yielded to God. (For more resources for Christian musicians, go to Bob Kauflin's blog Worship Matters)

Vocal/Band Commitments

  • Lead Worship on Sundays and Wednesday Nights: To lead in God-honoring worship during Sunday morning and Wednesday night meetings. There are two separate bands that take turns leading worship so students do not have to play every week but should try to leave their schedules relatively open in case of a schedule change.
  • Lead Worship for Events: Lead worship at Ignite events and possibly retreats.
  • Practice Together Regularly: In order to be prepared and to do the best job one can do, practice is necessary. This should be weekly and on a set day. All members should be present, including vocalists.
  • Be Responsible for Technical Aspects: Those on the W.I.M. team must make sure that the sound equipment is ready and that the power point is available and ready for all songs.
