Welcome to Innerchange

Who, Where, and When

Innerchange is a combination of our college student and young singles/career groups. Innerchange meets on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in the NorthCreek Chapel for a worship and teaching time.  Additionally, there are midweek Bible studies for both the college student a singles/career groups.  The college students (ages 18-23) meet on Thursday nights - we call that group "Impact."  The young singles/career group (ages 24-33) meets on Friday nights - we call that group "Kaleo."  Both groups have a variety of events scheduled throughout the year that encourage fellowship and learning. Click the above event and calendar tabs for current event listings and information. Or you can always email innerchange@northcreek.org if you have questions.

Vision of Ministry

We are a group of young adults ranging from college age into our early thirties who are passionate about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our vision is to make gospel-centered disciples who:

1. Treasure the Word of God.

2. Seek to honor God from the heart.

3. Fervently serve the church of God.

Philosophy of Ministry

1. High View of God- God is great (Nehemiah 1:5). No thought or reality can compare with God (Psalm 40:5). He alone is worthy of glory and our exclusive worship (Isaiah 42:8, 48:11).

2. High View of Scripture- The Bible contains the very words of God (2 Timothy 3:16). They are sufficient to provide all one needs for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).

3. Low View of Man- All men are depraved (Romans 3:10-12) and have fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). Apart from the grace of God, man is hopeless to save himself (Ephesians 2:2:8-9; Titus 3:5-7).

4. High View of the Church- Jesus Christ gave His life to establish the church, the body of Christ (1 Peter 1:17-19). We as believers are called to be committed and learn how to minister to one another (Hebrews 10:24-25).

5. High View of the Gospel- The gospel is the good news of how man can be righteous before God and spend eternity with Him (Romans 1:16-17). We must embrace the gospel (Romans 10:9-10), cherish it every day (1 Peter 2:24), and boldly proclaim this truth to a lost and dying world (2 Corinthians 5:21-22).

Values of Ministry

1. Dependence - Proverbs 3:5-7 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil."

2. Teachability - Proverbs 12:15 "The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice."

3. Commitment - Hebrews 10:24 "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

4. Submission - Hebrews 13:17 "Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you."

5. Fellowship - Proverbs 18:1 "Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment."

6. Ministry - John 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."

We will stay at the McCleary's property right on Clear Lake. The address is 5315 E. Highway 20, Nice CA, 95464-8539.

In case of emergency only, you may call the cottage number at 707.274.1785.

Click here to download the recommended directions (via CA-29 N through Napa). This document includes drawn-in directions not found in the written directions on this web page.

Click here to download an alternate route (via CA-29 through Napa).

Click here to download another alternate route (via I-505 N and I-5 N near Sacramento).

Below are the recommended driving directions. If you plan to use this route, be sure to download the first document above, which includes drawn-in directions:

Using a California road map, go north from the Bay Area though Vallejo to Napa. Follow the signs through Napa to continue north on Hwy 29 through wine country (Yountville, St. Helena, etc.) to Calistoga. At Calistoga, make a right on the main street (Hwy 29) heading toward Middletown. Several miles outside of Calistoga, Hwy 29 goes up over Mt. St. Helena, a scenic but slow 9-mile stretch of road.

Once over the grade, continue on Hwy 29 through Middletown and on to Lower Lake. At Lower Lake, Hwy 29 turns towards the left, but YOU keep going straight ahead on what is now Hwy 53, (heading to Hwy 20). (If stopping for fast food at McDonalds or Jack in the Box, proceed 1.4 miles up Hwy 53 and turn right onto Dam Road.)

You will pass some misleading signs that point to "Clear Lake." Disregard them because they are referring to Clear Lake town. A few miles past the stop light, you will come to a "T" where Hwy 59 ends. Make a left turn and you are on Hwy 20 heading towards "North Shore Resorts." Continue past Clearlake Oaks, Glenhaven, and on to Lucerne, which is about 9 miles from the Clearlake Oaks.

Lucerne is about 3 miles long, the last half of which is a 35 mph speed limit zone. When the town ends, there is an "end of 35 mph" speed sign. Exactly ½ mile past that sign (on Hwy 20) is our driveway on the left (lake) side of the highway. Signal well in advance and be careful; the traffic is very fast in that area. The name "McCleary" should be on the fence and the address is 5315 E. Hwy 20. Our place is in a group of about 10 houses with a cyclone fence along the road, situated between the lake and the highway. If you go too far, you will pass some grape vineyards and walnut orchards, and come to the town of Nice.

Elder for Kaleo Community (College/Singles)

David came to the Lord in 1988 through a NCC evangelical outreach. He currently shepherds Kaleo (Singles group 24-35), teaches LifeStage groups, is in leadership with Men’s Ministry, and is vice-chairman of the elder board. He has been married since 1984 to Cindy, who disciples young women along with doing pre-marital counseling with David. Their son, Chris, is a pastor and serves with his wife, Liz and daughter Katie at The Bible Church of Little Rock. Their daughter, Allie, teaches 2nd grade at the NorthCreek Academy and is married to David DeLancey.

The purpose of Community Groups is to accomplish the following:

Affection - A community time of true Christian fellowship, caring for one another with the many considerations of life. The aim of the relationships formed in this group is to dive beneath the surface and share our hopes, desires, motivations, and fears.

Application - A deliberate time of soul work, challenging one another towards godliness. This time is to go beyond intellectual queries and apply biblical truths to heart problems.

Accountability - A transparent time of vulnerable communication, seeking one another for counsel and aid in areas of failure. The group is intended to be a place where weaknesses of the heart can be strengthened and encouragement can be found to fight idols of our hearts.

Addition - A training time of ministry development seeking to develop zealous disciples of the gospel. The hope is that those who attend would not just be the recipients of ministry but the catalysts for future ministry, using their talents to benefit the body of Christ.

This is not another teaching time but an opportunity to be open with other believers about your life. There are multiple opportunities a week to be fed the Word of God which range from pulpit preaching, Bible classes, and dialogue teaching. What our community groups are attempting to provide is a practical outlet to all this Bible knowledge. It is a means to assimilate the truth into our lives so that we might be faithful stewards of the Word which God has entrusted to us.  These small gender specific groups of men and women meet at various times and locations during the week.  To get involved, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
