Soli Deo Gloria!

Sola Scriptura

February
1 Thess. 2:13 – “For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe.”

March
Heb. 4:12 – “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Sola Gratia

Sola Fide

August

God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

December

Scripture Memory 2016

This year's Scripture memory theme is, "The Attributes of God."  Each month we will look at a different attribute. We encourage you to memorize the verses below in 2016.  Scripture memory cards are available in the Welcome Center.

January - Holiness - Exodus 15:11
“Who is like You among the gods, O Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders?”

February - Goodness - Psalm 34:8
“O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!”

March - Omnipresence - Psalm 139:7-10

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there.  If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.”

April - Greatness - Psalm 145:3
"Great is the Lord, And highly to be praised, And His greatness in unsearchable."

May - Sovereignty - Proverbs 21:1

"The king's heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes."

June - Omnipotence - Jeremiah 10:12
“It is He who made the earth by His power, Who established the world by His wisdom; And by His understanding He has stretched out the heavens.”

July - Faithfulness - Lamentations 3:22-23
“The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

August - Grace -  Romans 5:15
“But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.”

September - Omniscience -  Romans 11:33
“Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!”

October - Immutability - Hebrews 13:8

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

November - Mercy - James 5:11
“We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord's dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful.”

December - Love - 1 John 4:7-8
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
