In this time of rejoicing, our desire is to make this day as special as possible while maintaining the sanctity of the marriage ceremony and reception. Because of this, there are a couple guidelines we would like you to be aware of before looking further into the wedding planning process.
PHOTOGRAPHY
In order to preserve the spirit of reverence, flash pictures are
limited to those taken before the prelude or after the service. Time
exposures may be taken from the rear of the Chapel or the sound booth
during the ceremony.
It is good to discuss with the photographer in advance the particular
pictures you want. Be sure those in the wedding party and parents are
informed where and when to be present for the pictures. It is required
for the photographer and the Wedding Coordinator to talk prior to the
service.
The photographer or video cameraman should NOT MOVE around or distract
the guests or in any way disrupt the spirit of worship in the Chapel.
MUSIC
We recognize that this is your wedding, but it is also a worship
service held in our church. Therefore, we ask that the lyrics of any
songs sung during the service reflect a Christian message. In addition,
the style of all music should reflect the sacred nature of the wedding
ceremony.
ALCOHOL/DANCING/SMOKING
Dancing, consumption of alcohol, and smoking is not permitted on church grounds.
CELEBRATION
Some weddings provide for celebrating the Bride and Groom as they leave
the buildings for their awaiting vehicle. Rice and birdseed is prohibited for this
purpose. Sparklers are illegal in Contra Costa County.
