Our church holds a high view of marriage because it is God’s design for partner relationships and provides the framework for society itself. Statistics bear witness that couples who have pre-marriage counseling and preparation have a significantly better chance at a successful life-long marriage.

Our desire is to provide tools for a successful, godly marriage; therefore, we provide excellent teaching in the form of an 8 - 10 session Pre-Marriage Counseling Training course. This course is to be started at least six months prior to the wedding date.

The counselors will guide the bride and groom through the lessons contained in the books, which include the following topics:

God-Focused Marriage
Equally Yoked
Cultural Differences
Sex and Family Planning
Roles and Responsibilities
Communication
Conflict Resolution
Stewardship

In conjunction with this course, there is an assessment, Prepare/Enrich, which is designed to identify the strengths and weaknesses that you are bringing to your marriage. This questionnaire is completed during the first session of the Pre-Marriage course and is sent to Life Innovations, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN to be compiled. The results are forwarded to the Pre-Marriage Ministry team members who will be conducting your training.
