The NorthCreek Library

If you've never been to our library, please come by for a visit. Books are available for checkout pending the setup or verification of your library "patron account." Once this account is set up, you will have access to over 8,000 volumes for check out. If you are unsure if you have a patron account, please contact the library to verify and access your account information.

The library is staffed with volunteers who are available to answer questions and assist you with check-out. Wireless internet access is also available.

In partnership with The Master's College, all patrons can search the library's holdings from the college's Powell Library site. This easy-to-use web-based library cataloging program allows users to search all library holdings from any computer. The library online catalog is fast, comprehensive, and easy to learn.

Why Do We Have a Library?

The Purpose of the Library (or "Why do we have a library?"):

We believe the library enables each of us to better fulfill our church's vision "to build Christians who worship God, walk in love, and witness to the world." This happens within the library ministry by providing audio/video materials and books of all types−Bibles (including study Bibles) in many versions, commentaries, reference works, Christian history and biographies, theological studies, missions, ethics (including bio-ethics), current issues, and more. Through all these resources, then, we can, by the renewing of our minds:

  • Be taught to worship God more fully,

  • Be transformed to walk in love with one another in the church, and

  • Be trained to witness about Christ to the world around us.

Library Objectives (or "How will the purpose for which the library exists be fulfilled?"):

In order to get the word out regarding the new library location and improved resources, we will be:

  • Providing new books, audio, and video on a regular basis, selected according to the vision statement guidelines, pastoral recommendations, and needs of church ministries,

  • Making the library user-friendly by entering all materials, old and new, into the online library catalog, which can then be accessed from the internet, and

  • Keeping the church body informed, through worship folder announcements, webpage content, the library itself, and through book reviews and lists of new materials published.

Ways to Help

We are always looking for volunteers to help staff the library both on an occasional and regular basis.

• If you would like to be part of our Library volunteer team, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Volunteer needs include regular service assisting patrons, as well as one-time projects like sorting or shelving books.

• Consider donating a book from the NorthCreek Church Library Wish List on amazon.com. This list contains resources that we would love the Library to be able to offer the Church body, the Academy, and the Master's Institute.

We hope that by God's grace and His people's help, we can take a big step in "building Christians who worship God, walk in love, and witness to the world" through great and God-centered resources. Thanks for your consideration, and for any help you can provide.
