Programs for our Senior Adults
SENIOR ADULT LUNCHEONS
These gatherings on the NorthCreek Campus are designed to provide fellowship opportunities around a fine meal and a thematic presentation. These events provide an informational and inspirational experience for all who attend. These luncheons are announced as scheduled, and most oftenare held on the third Wednesday of the month.
SENIOR SAFARIS
Senior Safaris are day trips involving travel by chartered motor coach to various destinations. These are wonderful times of traveling and eating together as we explore and learn about various points of interest in the bay area and northern California. Our devotional times highlight Scripturalthoughts that match the theme for the day. Safaris are announced as scheduled, and most often are held on the third Wednesday of the month.
SENIOR ADULT LETTER
This monthly communication serves as a way to inform everyone on our Senior Adult Roster of the events being planned for them. It also serves as way to keep touch with those unable to attend recent Senior Events. The devotional thoughts, birthday recognitions and bits of humor are accompanied with a Senior Highlight giving a biographical sketch of a featured senior adult from our group. If you would like to be included in this monthly mailing please phone the church office.
SENIOR SERVANTS
This cadre of volunteers serve on a weekly basis at the church office
preparing worship folders for the weekend services. We often have a
team of 7 or more who serve on Friday mornings for an hour or so in serving
the church in this special way.
SENIOR ADULT PLANNING TEAM
This team meets periodically to plan and provide support of all our Senior
Events. We work together to creatively plan and prepare meaningful events
months in advance of the actual time of the event. Each event requires a
support system to prepare and coordinate and support the event.
SENIOR LIFE STAGE CLASS
The Ambassadors class meets at 9 a.m. in Room 124 for the purpose of Bible study, prayer time, and fellowship.
HOME GROUPS
There are two home groups currently meeting. One meets in the evening in Walnut Creek, and the other meets during the day in Concord.
