One2One

One2One is not a program or a Bible study; it is an avenue through which two women are paired together as discipler and disciplee. The older woman will teach the younger using God’s Word and resources made available through One2One. The two women will have the freedom, in our busy world, to make their own meeting times. This is a friendship with a purpose, to grow another in Christ-likeness.

As women redeemed by God, we are bound together by the simple yet profound truth of that redemption. The thread of Christ’s sacrifice, resurrection, and future return is the thread that runs throughout each of our lives and knits us together within our Father’s family. “Who then is my sister?” we must ask: any woman belonging to the covenant of our Lord. The broken relationship of the first brothers on earth (Cain and Abel) leads us to the next question, “Am I my sister’s keeper?” The Lord answers us, “And Jesus came up and spoke to them [the disciples], saying ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age’”(Matthew 28:18-20). Christ’s last words to His disciples as recorded in Matthew are our Great Commission. Let us not stop preaching and teaching the gospel once a believer is baptized. Christ’s words send us forth into the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ; we are to teach one another the commandments of the Lord and how to observe and practice the principles of Scripture. Is this mighty task ever done?

So, Believer, who are you teaching? Who is teaching you? As women in Christ, let us join together and live out the Lord’s command to raise-up future generations of redeemed women to be daughters of the King, and be “as corner pillars fashioned as for a palace,” women who know, observe, love, and teach the law and precepts of the Lord (Psalm 144:12).

Ladies hear the call: “For the grace of God has appeared bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age; looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us all from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds” (Titus 2:11-14). Be zealous for the preservation of our common faith to the generations that follow.
