NORTHCREEK CHURCH SCHOOL OF CHURCH MUSIC
The School of Church Music at NorthCreek Church exists for the primary purpose of developing the next generation of church musicians for a life time of dedicated service that will enrich the church’s worship environment and minister to the Lord in song.
The worship and music pastor, music teachers, and administrative coordinator will work to organize and teach the children through the Children’s Choir program. We seek to honor God in learning biblical values, and developing musical abilities to better serve Him excellently.
Throughout the year we anticipate presenting a fall music recital, Christmas concert, winter open house and spring stage production. Your child may have the opportunity to show what he or she has learned throughout the year, in a formal setting, where the emphasis will be on worshipping and praising the Lord in excellence.
We have three age groups of choirs:
KINDER CHOIR
This choir is for ages 3-5. The children will learn music through songs, basic vocalizing, instruments, rhythm, and scripture. The classroom will be set up in a “Pedagogy” format, where children spend specific amounts of time in stations to emphasize these areas. The main focus of this group is to further develop a love of Jesus and love of singing. They will participate in concerts.
