Matt R
Executive Pastor
Matt R. and his wife moved to the Bay Area in 2012 and joined the church that same year. They have been married since 2004 and have three children. Matt joined the elder board in 2021 with a primary area of oversight in global outreach. He also helps lead the Rooted Life Stage class and teaches in other LifeStages as part of the the teaching corps. Kara is involved in women’s ministries and oversees Seedlings. Matt earned his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine and practices emergency medicine. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, sports, and writing nonfiction.
