FAQ's for Young Mom’s Discipleship Groups
Who?
*Mom’s with young children (elementary school-age and below)
What?
* We will be using the book Risen Motherhood as the basis for
our discussions.
* You will be placed in a group with other women who are moms
with young children. There will be an older woman who will lead
the discussion.
* The topics will revolve around issues that face women with
children, living in today’s world, in light of the Gospel.
Where? How?
We have several options regarding where and how to meet,
depending on the needs and desires of each group:
* At this point, there will not be any large group meetings, unless
the local guidelines change and allow for it.
* There will be an option for groups to meet virtually, online for
those who wish to continue to shelter in place.
* There will also be options for those groups who wish to meet
outside, social-distancing, as long as the local guidelines allow
for that. This will likely be done in a backyard or a park (if
open).
When?
* Groups will be given a schedule to read through a chapter (or 2)
of the book over a 2-week period of time.
* During that 2-week time-frame your group will decide when/how
it is convenient to meet together and discuss how the current
topic applies to your life and circumstances.
Why?
* The goal is to encourage one another to live life to the glory of
God with heart of gratitude for the blessings we have in Christ.
* We will learn what it means to encourage one another, care for
one another, and pray for one another, in the midst of our
changing world, in a way that pleases our Lord.
Single Moms
Our group seeks to strengthen single-mom families in our church and in our community. Older and younger single moms join together for mutual encouragement in our journey of single-parenting. We seek to live out God's parenting principles in our current season as single mothers. For more information or to receive email notifications of upcoming events, please email .
