Women

Women's ministries offers various weekly Bible studies, an individualized discipleship program called One2One, a small group discipleship program called HomeMakers, service opportunities through Helping Hands, and hosts special events, conferences, retreats, and speakers throughout the year.

Due to Covid-19 there are events and programs that will not be taking place this year. We pray that next year we will be able to offer Precepts, Seedlings, Homemakers, Olive Shoots, Helping Hands, and Women’s Retreat.  Lord willing, Ladies Day Away will be held May 1, 2021, with Nancy Guthrie‘s Theology Workshop

Young Mom's Discipleship Group
Note: Young Mom’s Discipleship is now closed.  To be added to the waiting list or more information to contact Karolyn Ray

We are not able to provide the traditional HomeMakers program this year. Instead, we are excited about taking the year to enjoy older moms encouraging younger moms through a book discussion time (one-to-one or small group). We will be looking at Risen Motherhood and discussing how the gospel encourages us to live life all to the glory of God, even in the challenging parts of parenting. Young Mom’s Discipleship begins on September 10. For more information please read the FAQ's below. If you still have questions, contact Karolyn Ray.

FAQ's for Young Mom’s Discipleship Groups

Who?
*Mom’s with young children (elementary school-age and below)

What?
We will be using the book Risen Motherhood as the basis for
     our discussions.
You will be placed in a group with other women who are moms
with young children. There will be an older woman who will lead
     the discussion.
  * The topics will revolve around issues that face women with
children, living in today’s world, in light of the Gospel.

Where?  How?
We have several options regarding where and how to meet,
depending on the needs and desires of each group:
 * At this point, there will not be any large group meetings, unless
the local guidelines change and allow for it.
  * There will be an option for groups to meet virtually, online for
those who wish to continue to shelter in place.
  * There will also be options for those groups who wish to meet
outside, social-distancing, as long as the local guidelines allow
for that. This will likely be done in a backyard or a park (if
     open).

When?
  * Groups will be given a schedule to read through a chapter (or 2)
of the book over a 2-week period of time.
  * During that 2-week time-frame your group will decide when/how
it is convenient to meet together and discuss how the current
topic applies to your life and circumstances.

Why?
  * The goal is to encourage one another to live life to the glory of
God with heart of gratitude for the blessings we have in Christ.
  * We will learn what it means to encourage one another, care for
one another, and pray for one another, in the midst of our
changing world, in a way that pleases our Lord.

One2One Disciplemaking
Meet one-on-one with a more mature sister in the Lord for 10 - 12 weeks, for the purpose of walking through life together. Read and discuss scripture and work through various topics related to godly living. This is for those who want to grow in their walk with the Lord, be challenged and held accountable, and be encouraged through the Spirit. This is an ongoing program.

Our group seeks to strengthen single-mom families in our church and in our community. Older and younger single moms join together for mutual encouragement in our journey of single-parenting. We seek to live out God's parenting principles in our current season as single mothers.  For more information or to receive email notifications of upcoming events, please email  .
