About the show
Senior Pastor
Kent has been the Senior Pastor of NorthCreek Church since June 1, 2018. He has served on Ministerial Staff at NorthCreek since 2004. He has also served as an elder since 2007. Kent has a B.S. in Business Administration, an M.Div in Pastoral Ministries and a Th.M. in Old Testament Theology from The Master's College and Seminary. He also holds a D. Min. in Preaching from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He and his wife Julie were married in 1998, and they have five children. In his free time, Kent loves to bike, golf, read, play with the kids, and date his wife (in reverse order). His desire is to help people increase in their love for Christ, His church, our neighbors, and the nations.

We’d love to welcome you in person! NorthCreek Church is located at 2303 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598—just a short drive from downtown. Whether you're joining us for Sunday services or stopping by during the week, we recommend arriving a little early to get settled and make the most of your visit.
What to expect
We have two identical Sunday services at 9:00AM and 10:45AM. We gather to exalt Christ and make much of Him as we worship through song, through prayer, through the reading of Scripture, and through the preaching of God's Word. We also offer children's, student's, and adult classes during both hours.
Our preaching
Our general practice is to preach through the Word of God expositionally. This means we preach through books of the Bible verse by verse, rather than using a few select verses to address particular topics. We believe that the context in which passages were written is necessary to properly understand them. And in reality, many present-day topics are addressed as we preach through the Scriptures.
